Join the York-Adams Film club for Anime Day! The afternoon begins with an Introduction to Anime from Eleanor Hogan, Gettysburg College, followed by a screening of one of Studio Ghibli's best films!
Movie 1: While protecting his village, a young warrior is stricken by a deadly curse. To save his life, he must journey to the western forests where he finds himself in the middle of a war between the forest gods and a mining colony.
2 PM: Introduction to the Similarities of Anime and Live Action with author M. Chandler. Followed by a second movie screening.
Movie 2: After a covert mission goes wrong, a pilot and his comrades are stranded on a remote island. Now they must save a group of children and figure out a way to escape!
All are welcome to come to these FREE movie screenings—you need not be a film club member to attend. Come for one movie or stay for both!
