Event Details
Meet some live animal ambassadors and discover the amazing variety of life all around us.
What is biodiversity, and why does it matter? Join West Shore Wildlife for a fun, kid-friendly program exploring the importance of all the plants and animals that call Pennsylvania home. Learn how protecting biodiversity helps keep nature healthy. You can help wildlife with simple conservation actions right in your own backyards!
Located near Pinchot Park, West Shore Wildlife specializes in wildlife rehabilitation and conservation education, giving injured, sick, and orphaned animals a second chance at life in the wild. You’ll learn what wildlife rehabilitators do every day and how they help animals facing challenges like habitat loss, disease, and climate change.
Best of all, check out some special animal ambassadors up close and discover how every species plays an important role in our ecosystem!
This program meets outside if the weather is nice. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket.
The rain location for this event is across the street from the library at Calvary Methodist Church. If we move indoors, we will meet in the church’s Family Center building at 203 Mumper Ln, Dillsburg, PA 17019.
Many thanks to Calvary Methodist Church for partnering with us to give us shelter if it rains!
