Event Details
Do you love butterflies? Ever wondered how to grow a garden that helps them thrive?
Join us for our live monarch butterfly show and tell. Learn about the life cycle, needs and importance of the monarch butterfly, as well as meet some live monarchs in different phases of their life cycle. Hands on learning activities, a craft, and next steps for you to take at home to create a welcoming space for butterflies in your backyard.
You can't rush a monarch, but if all goes well, we are also hoping to have a butterfly release at the end of today's program.
Our speaker, Jennifer Titemore, cultivates monarch butterflies. Last year alone she released 990 monarchs back into the wild. While this program is geared towards school age students, teens and adults with an interest in cultivating butterlfies are also welcome to attend.
Pre-registration is not required but encouraged for us to prepare adequate materials. Those who pre-register will receive a gift to take home to start cultivating their butterfly garden as well as a reminder email 24 hours in advance.
