Monday March 2

On March 2 at 6:00pm, retired U.S. diplomat and local Hanover area resident Paul Berg will host a conversation with retired U.S. Ambassador Jay Anania on Diplomacy and Wine as the winter program in his Every Six Months foreign policy series.

Ambassador Anania is an expert on wines and wine pairings.  He and his wife Lourdes have visited many of the world’s premier wine growing areas.  He knows our local food and wine selection well, so he and Mr. Berg will devote a major part of the program to advice on what locally-available wines go best with typical Hanover dishes.  What pairs with scrapple?

Ambassador and Mrs. Anania have served in all sorts of countries, including his tour as Minister Counselor for Management Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad during the height of the conflict there, considered one of the most difficult of all Foreign Service postings.  As always, this conversation is off the record and free of charge.
