Event Details
Meet the artist and view his work while enjoying refreshments, music, and conversation. This exhibition will feature the work of Dave DeRan. Dave is a resident of Delta, PA, and has earned his living as a professional artist since 1968. He paints in watercolor, acrylic, and oil and prefers painting farm and woodland landscapes, portraits, and animals. He paints in both realistic and primitive styles, crediting as influences the Wyeths, Vermeer, Louise Nevelson, Joseph Cornell, Jan Swankmajer, and tribal art. Dave's artwork will be on display and for sale in the library's Quiet Reading Room until the end of the month.
