Fandom and YOU!

Being part of a fandom means different things to different people. The stories and characters we love can inspire our costumes, fan fiction, fan art, music videos, and more. What does it mean to be part of a "fandom"? It means finding people you have things in common with, having fun, being creative, and staying safe. Teens (ages 12-18) are welcome.

Fandom and YOU! Facilitator

Simply Scarlet has been cosplaying for over a decade, earning craftsmanship awards both internationally and domestically. With a B.A. in Theater Arts focused on costume design, she is passionate about bringing cosplay to a new generation of fans, and is always hungry to continue learning herself. When she's not walking the runway or posing for photos, you can usually find her at a convention paneling on cosplay education, performance, and psychology, or otherwise writing fanfiction on her favorite characters.
