Event Details

Join Miss Kelly as she reads the semi true story of Amelia Simmons, who wrote the first cookbook by an American in 1796. The picture book "Independence Cake" written by Deborah Hopkinson and Giselle Potter, tells the story of young Amelia and her wish to learn how to cook. We will celebrate by eating our own Independence cake!
