Event Details
If you're looking for a good summer read, you might consider a book written by a local author who will be the featured speaker at June's Third Wednesday Series of community programs at the library. Art Young of New Freedom will lead a discussion of his recently published book "Downeyoshun" that was sought after for publication by Apprentice Press House of Loyola University in Maryland. This is a coming of age story about Sally, a gifted young girl in East Baltimore who, despite an abusive mother, finds love and support from her father, her best friend Marie, Marie's family, and especially Sally's Aunt and Uncle in that summertime heaven-on-earth Sally loves: Ocean City, Maryland.
Please plan to join us on Wednesday, June 18 at 6:30PM in our Community Room.
