York County Libraries is excited to announce our first teen art exhibit (ages 12-18) on May 2-16th, 2025. The theme is "Do My Feelings Matter?" This is a juried exhibit, which means judges will look at all the entries and pick the pieces that will be in the show. Prizes will be awarded- 1st place- $250, 2nd place- $200, 3rdplace $150, and Views' Choice- $150. Visit the YCL website for official submission guidelines and other details.
Want to work on your submission? There are 4 open studio sessions across the county in March; today's session will be at the Village Library in Jacobus. In this session, teen artists can bring what they are working on or start working on their art. YCL will provides paper, canvas, paints, pens, and other supplies to inspire your creativity. Teens are invited to attend any and all of the Open Studio Sessions. The four offerings are:
Thursday, March 6th—Guthrie Memorial Library, 4:00–5:30pm
Monday, March 10th—Glatfelter Library, 6:00–7:30pm
Saturday, March 15th—Village Library, 11:00am–12:30pm
Tuesday, March 18th—Kreutz Creek Library, 4:00–5:30pm
Limited to ages 12-18.
