Event Details

York College of Pennsylvania and Martin Library invite you to our community conversation exploring the question: "How literacy and the humanities can save lives." 

Please join us to hear from experts and learn how we might build a better, more literate community together.

Highlights of this event:

  • Guest Speaker  Dr. Eli Goldblatt, Professor Emeritus at Temple University, will speak about his lifelong advocacy for literacy.
  • Panel Discussion  A panel, including representatives from York County Libraries, York College of Pennsylvania, PA Humanities, and York City Police Department will discuss how literacy and the humanities save lives and enrich communities.
  • Q&A Session  Attendees will have a chance to ask questions of the experts.
  • Book Signing, Refreshments, and Informal Conversation  Dr. Goldblatt will have selected books available for purchase.
