“A geologist for 48 years in York County and specializing in geologic education, Jeri Jones of Jones Geological Services in Spring Grove, will present this audience participation 45-minute "Tracking a Dinosaur" program.
Foot tracks are one of the most imporant fossils found belonging to the dinosaurs and we can learn so much just from finding a foot track. Children will demonstrate how dinosaur walked, run and protected their young. Jeri will also show the audience some different types of dinosaur fossils, some from our area. Yes, we had dinosaurs living in certains parts of York County!
Following the presentation,Jeri will give the children an opportunity to handle a number of real fossils and some reproductions. Each child will receive a fossil to take home with them.
