Guthrie Memorial Library will host a WellSpan presentation on TBI.

Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.

Each year, an estimated 2 million Americans suffer some form of traumatic brain injury (TBI), most frequently experienced as a concussion. Many TBIs are undetected or misdiagnosed. Even more alarming, TBIs are the leading cause of death and disability in persons under 45 years old.

Chances are you know someone affected by a traumatic brain injury. Join WellSpan Health Brain Injury Specialists, and Grace Elsner, local contributing author of Trauma to Triumph: Stories of TBI Survivors and the Vital Role of Post-Acute Care, to learn strategies and resources for concussion detection, prevention, recovery and resilience.

If you know anyone – TBI survivors, parents, coaches, clinicians, first responders, military service members, caregivers, anyone facing a long recovery of any kind – who would be helped by this information and discussion, please share this information and join us. Knowing more about TBI detection, prevention and recovery can save lives!
