Have you ever come across an injured raccoon? Have you ever encountered a woodchuck caught in a trap? Raven Ridge Wildlife Center (https://ravenridgewildlifecenter.org/) is an organization here to help in these situations and others like them. Learn what Raven Ridge does and what you can do if you find a wild animal in distress in order to keep both yourself and the animal as safe and healthy as possible.

At this program, Raven Ridge Wildlife Center staff will cover:

  • A deep dive into the field of wildlife rehabilitation
  • How to safely handle and transport injured wildlife
  • How to determine if an animal truly needs help (and when it's best to leave it alone)
  • What to do if you find baby animals—and when the parent is likely just out of sight
  • Best practices for human-wildlife interactions
NOTE: This program discusses sensitive topics that young audiences may find upsetting. Adult attendees only.

No animal ambassadors will be present at this program.
