Program Description
Event Details
Catch and study local insects and learn about the science of bugs with Miss Jennifer! This nine-session program will be held monthly from September 2024 - May 2025. This program is for ages 8-12. Registration is required.
What Can I Expect?
Each meeting of Bug Scouts is broken into three parts:
- A brief (optional) bug show & tell (all insects must stay in a sealed container for the entirety of their library visit!)
- A science-focused activity, covering a new topic each month
- A "bug safari", where Bug Scouts will take a trip to the library courtyard to observe and record which insects can be found.
